Managing Icebergs (Not That Iceberg)

Iceberg as a data format is a hot topic in the data world right now. On Sigma's data team we talk about a different type of iceberg - the hidden work that sits under the surface that keeps a data team and our customers (the business) moving. Even though they might not have the visibility or buzz, these items are critical to a well functioning data team. In this talk, Jake Hannan, Sigma's Head of Data, will walk through how his team structures their work and ensures sure they have buy-in and time allocated the bottom of the iceberg, and how they balance that with working on the buzz at the tip of the iceberg (for instance, iceberg).
