Joining Atlassian to help all teams turn data into knowledge
I’m thrilled to announce that Secoda has been acquired by Atlassian, and I want to share the vision for what’s next.
When Andrew and I started Secoda nearly five years ago, we set out to make data easier to use for everyone, regardless of technical background. We envisioned giving any team member from data, product development, and business teams the ability to find and use data just as effortlessly as they would browse on the internet. And as part of the Atlassian platform, we’re excited to accelerate this vision.
Enabling enterprise AI
Today, Secoda AI answers thousands of complex questions per day for business teams. These are questions that once took analysts days to resolve. By building a complete record of data, including your team's unique knowledge of it, and combining that with AI that truly understands structured data, we’ve enabled teams to stop waiting for answers and start solving problems themselves.
For example, customers like Dialpad have been able to collaborate and work more productively than ever. With Secoda AI, they transformed how they analyze sales and customer data. Instead of spending hours stitching together disparate data, they can get answers to questions like, “What features will help us win more deals?” in seconds.
"What once took months, now takes minutes. It's like having an army of elite analysts available 24/7, ready to deliver game-changing insights on demand." - Jesu Joseph, Global Head of Data & Advanced Analytics, Dialpad
Building the ontology of work
Joining the Atlassian team is a natural next step on our mission to put knowledge where people actually work. There is an incredibly high overlap between the teams we serve and the teams that run on Atlassian.
For decades, Atlassian has been mapping the human side of how work gets done across organizations, contextualizing key work and relationships through the Teamwork Graph, then putting that knowledge in the hands of every team member with Rovo.
Millions of users already trust Rovo every month. Now, with the power of Secoda and Atlassian together, more teams can enrich their data with meaning and context, making it AI-ready, while utilizing Secoda’s unique ability to relate context from structured data continues to expand their team’s connected intelligence to power faster, smarter decisions.
“In the AI era, Atlassian’s mission to unleash the potential of every team requires us to transform the most critical ingredient – data – into knowledge that is accessible, actionable, and secure. By bringing Secoda into the Atlassian cloud platform, teams – especially those with complex, enterprise-scale data – will be able to make that leap from data to knowledge, giving employees and agents the context they need to find answers and take action right where they work.
Secoda’s expertise in dynamically learning, organizing and understanding structured data, paired with their AI-driven semantic cataloging will strengthen Rovo’s ability to deliver precise, context-rich insights. We’re excited to welcome Secoda’s talented team to Atlassian, accelerate AI innovation in our System of Work, and help every customer gain more value from their work data.” - Tiffany To, EVP of Platform and Enterprise, Atlassian
