Over the past month, we took a break from our traditional shipping cadence to work on some larger features in the app. This week, we're introducing them all in our first ever launch week

On day one, we announced the following features in Secoda. The focus on day 1 was to improve the editing workflow. Previously, Secoda gave customers a set of tools they needed to organize and document data that we bulky and difficult to navigate. While this helped customers input the necessary information into Secoda, it wasn't a pleasant experience. As a result, customers were forced to work in a janky environment for most of their day that was difficult to maintain and manage.

Now, with our improved editing workflow, Secoda customers have a set of tools that make the experience of documenting their data knowledge much easier. Secoda customers can now add tables, code blocks, links and warnings to all documents with '/' command and we’ve updated the UI to make it much more compact and easy to navigate. Soon, customers will have the ability to add live queries and charts into the commands so make the documentation process even better!

Below are some of the new features in Secoda from day one of our launch week:

  • New, notion Style Documentation Editor - You can now add tables, code blocks, links and warnings all with a '/' command. We’re working on adding the ability to add live queries and charts into the commands so make the documentation process even better! 📑
  • New column and table UI - We’ve updated the UI to make it much more compact and easy to navigate. As an editor, you can now edit items easier and have a much more clean UI to work in. We hope you like it! ⚡️
  • Admin Analytics - You can now see your admin analytics directly in Secoda. This allows editors to see how end users are using their Secoda data portal and where you can improve documentation. 📊
  • Embedding Secoda - You can now embed Secoda in an iframe on external tools or websites. This can let you surface the viewer mode of Secoda wherever your viewers are most likely to need it! 🕸

We hope these features continue to make the process of sharing your knowledge with the rest of your team easier! There's so much more to come this week, so stay tuned!
